How it works…
1. GET IN TOUCH
Start by reaching out via my contact form, email, or phone to discuss your family photoshoot. I’ll provide an overview of the process, answer any questions, and help you choose the best session type for your needs.
2. CHOOSING YOUR DATE
Family sessions are best booked at least 2-3 months in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons. If you need a last-minute session, feel free to ask—I’ll accommodate if possible. Outdoor sessions are typically scheduled for golden hour for the best lighting, while in-home sessions can be arranged at a time that suits your family’s routine.
3. PREPARATION
Ahead of your session, I’ll send tips on what to wear, how to prepare, and what to expect on the day. Whether you’re planning an outdoor adventure, a cosy in-home session, or something in between, I’ll help you choose the best location and style to reflect your family’s personality. If little ones are involved, I’ll also share ideas to keep the session fun and relaxed.
4. ON THE DAY OF YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
Family photoshoots are all about capturing real connections. I’ll guide you through a mix of posed and candid moments, making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Sessions typically last 90 minutes, giving plenty of time for natural interactions and genuine smiles.
5. PAYMENT AND BOOKING
To secure your family photoshoot, a £100 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due no later than one month before your session. Early booking is recommended, but if you need a session sooner, just ask—I’ll always do my best to fit you in.
6. RECEIVING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS
Within 3 weeks of your photoshoot, you will receive your images through a private gallery where you can download them. There will also be the option to order print upgrades.

How do I book a session?
Once we have decided on a date you will recieve an invoice for the session with the option to pay the £100 deposit now and the rest later, or pay the full amount upfront. Once the payment is made, your booking is confirmed!
Do I need to choose a location for the shoot before booking?
No, you don’t need to decide on a location when you book. I carefully select locations based on the best backdrops, lighting, and the unique feel of your family. I’ll take into account the time of day, the season, and your family’s dynamic to ensure we have the perfect setting for your session.
The location of your session is usually decided a week before the session due to the changes in the landscape and flora in the area. This will be communicated with you through email or your zoom call.
What is included in the package?
You’ll receive a gallery of fully edited images and 5 digital images. These are yours to print, share, and treasure forever! You will also be able to order additional images and prints from the gallery.
How many people can be included?
My photoshoots are based around a family of five. However sessions may include extended family for the extra session fee of £20 per person for up to 16 family members.
What areas do you cover?
Most of my families visit the Chelmsford area, where I have access to stunning locations perfect for any season. However, I’m more than happy to travel beyond Chelmsford and its surroundings (up to 10 miles) for your session. For locations outside this radius, an additional travel fee will apply.

How many images are included in a gallery?
Every session is a little different, but you can usually expect a beautifully curated gallery of around 40–60 images. Don’t worry you will have plenty of beautiful images to choose from.
What do we do if the weather is not looking great?
Watching the forecast is a big part of my job! If you’re local, I’ll keep an eye on the weather right up to 1–2 hours before your session, and we’ll decide together whether to go ahead or reschedule.
If you’re travelling a fair distance, we’ll aim to make the decision earlier in the day, usually by the morning of your shoot, so you’re not left hanging.
That said, beautiful photos can be captured in all sorts of weather, sunny, overcast, and even between light showers. But if the weather really isn’t on our side, I always hold back a couple of flexible reschedule dates each season. There’s no extra charge, and we’ll make sure your session still feels relaxed and easy.
Adele is so great with children and immediately made me and them feel relaxed and happy and was able to get such natural shots as a result. She was flexible and adaptable to my childrens needs and it made the whole experience so enjoyable.
