That’s where I come in.
My Essex newborn photography sessions are gentle, baby-led, and completely relaxed. No forced poses, no bright lights — just a calm, natural space for you to slow down and soak it all in.
Whether we photograph in the comfort of your home or outside surrounded by nature, I’ll guide you with care and ease. So you can stay present in the moment — with your baby curled up in your arms and your love captured in every frame.

The early days are a blur of sleepy cuddles, tiny toes, and the softest little sighs. It all changes so quickly, and before you know it, that newborn phase has passed. My role as your Newborn and baby photographer in Chelmsford Essex is to gently press pause to capture these fleeting, beautiful moments so you can remember exactly how it felt.
You don’t need to worry about getting out of the house or posing your baby just right. Newborn and baby sessions are designed to be calm, unhurried, and baby-led in the comfort of your own home, where you all feel most relaxed.

Being a mum myself, I know the early days are a mix of wonder and exhaustion. You’ll never be rushed. If baby needs feeding, changing, or cuddling we stop. We work around you. I’ll gently guide you, but you’ll never be asked to pose stiffly or act unnaturally.

How it works…
1. GET IN TOUCH
Welcoming a new baby is such a special time, and I would be honoured to capture these precious first moments for you. The best time to book your newborn photoshoot is 3-4 months in advance, as my calendar fills quickly. However, if your little one has already arrived, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll always do my best to accommodate last-minute availability.
2. CHOOSING YOUR DATE
Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 5-14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and their tiny details are most delicate. If you book in advance, we’ll set a tentative date based on your due date and adjust as needed once your baby arrives. I’ll stay flexible to ensure we capture this fleeting stage beautifully.
3. PREPARATION
Ahead of your newborn photoshoot, you will be provided guidance on how to prepare, from keeping baby comfortable to choosing outfits and soft, neutral tones that photograph beautifully. I’ll also share tips for creating a calm, cosy environment so you can relax and enjoy the experience. Whether the session takes place in your home or my studio, Your session will ensure everything is stress-free for you and your little one.
4. ON THE DAY OF YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
Newborn sessions are designed to be gentle and relaxed, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and soothing breaks as needed. My approach is baby-led, ensuring your little one stays comfortable while capturing their tiny details and tender family moments. There’s no rush—just a peaceful, natural session where we document this incredible new chapter in your life.
5. PAYMENT AND BOOKING
To secure your newborn photoshoot, a £100 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance can be paid anytime, but it must be settled no later than one month before your session. Booking early ensures your spot in my schedule, but if your baby has already arrived, please reach out—I’ll do my best to fit you in!
6. RECEIVING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS
Within 3 weeks of your photoshoot, you will receive your images through a private gallery where you can download them. There will also be the option to order print upgrades.

How do I reserve a session?
Once we have decided on a date you will recieve an invoice for the session with the option to pay the £100 deposit now and the rest later, or pay the full amount upfront. When the payment is made, your booking is confirmed!
When should I book my shoot?
I recommend booking your newborn session as early as possible—ideally after your 12-week scan—to secure your preferred date. My calendar tends to book up around four months in advance, but I do keep a couple of flexible dates available for reschedules. If your baby has already arrived, don’t worry! It’s always worth reaching out, as I may have last-minute availability.
What is included in the package?
You’ll receive a gallery of fully edited images and 5 digital images. These are yours to print, share, and treasure forever! You will also be able to order additional images and prints from the gallery.
What areas do you cover?
As a Newborn and baby photography in Chelmsford Essex, most of my families visit the Chelmsford area, where I have access to stunning locations perfect for any season. However, I’m more than happy to travel beyond Chelmsford and its surroundings (up to 10 miles) for your session. For locations outside this radius, an additional travel fee will apply.
